May God Bless us with unity in our park to overcome the crisis.
Recently, the 1441 Manufactured-Home Residents Association (MRA1441.org) collected donations of masks and alcohol for mobile homes under the slogan "defend mobile homes from the pandemic,” and “save Los Angeles!"
There are many difficulties with fundraising at present. It has been more than two months since the Chinese Americans raised funds to purchase PPE for medical supplies. It is the end of the donation to most since supplies were scarce. Secondly, when the virus spreads rampantly with the government ordered isolation, the delivery of goods would also risk their life.
On July 4th at noon, a rescue activity was held at the entrance of Rowland Heights Mobile Estate, Rowland Heights. Scouts from the residents of Rowland Heights Mobile Estates soluted the national flag.
Many donors were present and blessed the residents' well-being, saying that the mobile home is prone to becoming an area that can have a serious epidemic, and encouraged the residents holding the fortress and defending Los Angeles, wishing residents stay safe and separated to slow down the pandemic in the park, to save Los Angeles. The residents were moved by the donors' speeches and gave many rounds of applause for their care and contributions.
President Lin of the American National Zhejiang General Chamber of Commerce donated 6,500 masks, 200 alcohol spry, and sanitizers that day. He blessed residents and said: During the pandemic, many places of violence against Chinese Americans were caused by discrimination. American society should recognize the positive energy from the donations of Chinese Americans. The Chamber of Commerce has donated a total of 550,000 masks to government agencies, police stations, fire stations, prison administrations, vulnerable communities, nursing homes, homeless people, Indian tribes, and international students.
Led by President Mo Kaisheng, the Los Angeles Detion International Club launched the members’ fundraiser. Chairman Mo introduced the participating organizations from his group, including Tianai Pharmacy and Kaiser Mo, each donating 5000 disposable masks; and Hope Center donated hand sanitizers and vegetables.
Sundy, the chairman of China-Wind Warehouse, from South El Monte, brought the employees with 1100 masks and other gifts to the event. She introduced that her company often provides free assistance to the society, and says that if the fundraising is insufficient this time, China-Wind will continue to donate more.
President Wang Ximeng of the Chinese American Experts Association brought 3000 masks to support the residents. He said that he is very grateful to the MRA1441 for launching this fundraising event. The Chinese American Experts Association has not only donated 3M N95 masks to the hospitals, but also the San Gabriel City Fire Department, the Police Department, and the City Government with 25,000 medical masks.
Vice President Mr. Wang Jianyun of the Chinese University Alumni Association of Southern California arrived early to help decorate the spot of activity. He introduced the alumni alliance's dedication to the US epidemic. This time there were only a few PPE left compared with past donations, but a little (2000 masks) heartfelt dedication to the cause. He wished the mobilehome residents well.
Li Shechao, founding chairman of the Chinese Association of Chinese Southern California, donated 3,000 masks and affixed the words "Love from Chinese Americans" to the boxes of donations.
South China University of Technology Southern California Alumni Association has donated more than 60,000 masks to hospitals that urgently required protection in the United States after receiving donations from alumni from all over the world. Laofeng, the president of the Alumni donates 2000 masks even its inconvenient to attend the event.
The chairman of the MRA1441 Mr. Ken Meng said that the gratitude of the residents was more than words, and praised the generosity of the donors.
Meng said that in April, there was a shortage of PPE in the United States, and countless Chinese Americans in the nation put their money into buying PPE. They acted as pioneers in fundraising, and they unanimously set off a wave of fundraising for Chinese nationals across the country. "The Donors are All Chinese." This new view of the United States has made many politicians and medical units receiving supplies secretly surprised. Although many units have ended their fundraising by end of June, they expressed much concern to the mobilehomes; the leaders of the Chinese American Donation Center said that good news is that the next batch of anti-epidemic materials from China is on the way!
Meng has shown to the donors how the residents pick PPE up forms were designed, that it is the primary responsibility of the MRA1441 to send every donation from donors to those who need it.
Meng said the narrow spacing of mobile homes is an inherent deficiency of mobile home communities. Covid19 spreads through community transmission, and droplets can float up to 26 feet away, while the size of the mobile home is small and there are many windows, especially there are lots of extended buildings, it is only about 10 feet away from the neighbors. Coupled with windows facing other windows, a dense population, a high proportion of elderly, and especially low-income people. Many residents are reluctant to buy PPE. Therefore, mobilehomes are a very dangerous place for spreading Covid19.
Regarding the fund-raising operation on the occasion of the National Day and the current complex situation faced by the Chinese, Chairman Meng spoke to reporters: Chinese Americans must change from their old habits, and gradually start to walk out of their homes and go the right path. Meng is grateful to see the change of Chinese Americans and appreciates that they are learning to serve communities.
Residents in RHME are very happy for the July 4th donation event. Meng’s family did not ask any neighbors to help with the distribution, but some enthusiastic residents saw that they were very busy and took the initiative to help distribute PPE and receive signatures until the distribution ended.

“July 4” Flag Raising Ceremony and
Mask Donation for some of LA’s densely populated Mobile Home Parks.
Unite humanity with love, care, and kindness to overcome Covid-19!

Thank you for your hard work to protect Los Angeles Communities from Covid19.
I believe that to hold a National Flag Ceremony on July 4th to encourage the spirit of unity.
Chinese American organizations across the U.S. have already donated hundreds of millions of pieces of PPE to American Hospitals, police stations, fire stations, and nursing centers since March 2020, and there are only very few surpluses. I have collected the rest in the Los Angeles area to donate to Mobilehome parks
However, there are more masks donated by Chinese citizens, on ships from China. Some of them will be donated to mobilehome parks where there are many vulnerable elderly residents in densely populated.
Presently, about 15,000 masks have been collected for the July 4th event. Would you please pick and send a senior mobilehome park manager from your district to come to the ceremony to pick up one or two boxes of masks, and send them to their residents and report a record of who received them? Thank you for your cooperation.
Only elected officials who cover the Rowland Heights area may be invited to attend, but not the staff to keep the numbers low. Thank you for understanding and also would be grateful to our park owner Sandra if she allows us to use the flagpole.
President of Greatlaca.org, Mra1441.org, Chineseday.us
Your lawyer did not use email to reply to the reconsideration of the denial from the exemption case this time. However, following legal procedures, you should have received the documents they wrote and our reply to the lawyer's response. See the attachment.
We believe that the lawyers just want to win lawyer's fees from you because they have said a lot of irrelevant and useless words that have nothing to do with the elements of the case. After all, there is no merit to refuse the exemption.
For your benefit, I have been reminding you many times to improve the management, and hope to cooperate to establish a model park. Unfortunately, you are still being held back by lawyers who are looking for unethical reasons to try to challenge us, even try to evict our family with “merit” which they created.
You are refusing the rent to evict us, but the reason was because of the wrongful denial of the exemption, and the biased judge must be to be disqualified. Even though the eviction will not succeed, it has put our family extra pressure during the pandemic of Covid19. This heartless wrongdoing would inevitably cause consequences.
I know that Covid19 has changed the world. Neither you nor I will change the fact that the world has changed. It means that whatever you have done to raise the rent high must be adjusted. The government may let it be, but nature would not.
I also know that if humans can improve the world through self-awakening, we can defeat the pandemic. That is to love and to forgive one another.
Mobilehome parks are a dangerous place to spread coronavirus throughout the park and to society. Even though taking care of residents is your responsibility, I'm inviting organizations to donate masks for the mobilehome parks.
After Chinese Americans have donated billions of pieces of PPE to American hospitals and police agencies in the entire nation, which I have participated in, I am receiving donations from several organizations with over 10,000 masks for Rowland Heights mobile home parks, for protection of the low-income, elderly, and densely populated residents.
We have planned to use the flagpole in the park at noon on July 4th to perform a flag-raising ceremony while receiving the donation.
I invite you to participate.
I hope you will comfort the residents, so they don’t have to worry about the loss of their jobs, and that you may protect them from homelessness as much as you can.
I will also encourage residents to consider the park's expenses for operating and to keep working and stay as safe as possible, and especially pay rent as much as they can.
Covid19 is crushing the economy and is most harmful to all landlords or for apartment owners because rent strikes are starting throughout the country. I hope you and the residents will know to thank each other and support each other under the pandemic. In this activity, we will not blame, and let the residents see the spirit of cooperation, working together between ourselves.
Certainly, it doesn’t matter if you don’t agree to use the park’s flagpole or not to participate as you used to. We will also hold this ceremony somewhere, but as far as I know, your God would be unhappy if you still choose to go the wrong way.
If you are happy, I suggest that from the day of raising the flag, we release each other on goodwill: No one owes anything of debt.
You will no longer retaliate, give up rent and utilities you refused to collect and not recover your unreasonable attorney fees due to the fact of retaliation; we will forgive the past, not pursue wrongfully charged lawyers fee, photos, camera, retaliated in bad faith, mental oppression, and other compensations.
Let's step back, settle, and create peace.
My wife asks: “Sandra, if you are your grandfather, at this pandemic, what do you think he is going to do?”
To the value of living, money is nothing. You need to walk out of your zone to get close to your customer, you do not need bad lawyers misleading you if you learn from your grandfather or your experience.
I hope to hear from you soon.
Stay safe and healthy.
